ER WAIT
iSouthwestern Medical Center offers a variety of nutritional services including education and counseling. Our trained and accredited staff assists patients in making the best food choices possible for weight and illness management.
DISEASE
Patients suffering from heart disease, digestive disorders, diabetes and other illnesses can use their daily diet as a tool for increasing energy and minimizing disease complications. Our nutritional experts will educate patients on which type of diet has proven most effective in treating their disease as well as what types of foods they can enjoy safely.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
Food is essential to bodily function, but it is also the number one contributing factor to weight gain. The types of food consumed can directly reflect physical health. Private nutrition consultations are available for the community and are encouraged for anyone wanting to improve their nutritional health.
EATING DISORDERS
Our nutritional services are also helpful to patients suffering from eating disorders. Our staff will work with these patients to overcome their negative relationships with their body and food to promote healing and a higher quality of life. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) more than one-third of adults in the United States are obese. The nutritional services at Southwestern Medical Center provide our community with the opportunity to combat these statistics and increase overall health.
