(LAWTON, Oklahoma – February 11, 2019) – Southwestern Medical Center has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Oklahoman. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few. This is the sixth year in a row SWMC has been recognized as a Top Workplace.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
“This award is truly an honor and speaks about the fantastic culture at SWMC,” said Julio Nuñez, PHR, Human Resources Director – Interim. “We strive to be a place where patients want to come for all their medical needs, where physicians want to practice, and team member want to work, and to receive TWP six years in a row, speaks volumes about our passionate staff and the quality care we provide. We look forward to the challenge of year number seven and want to take this time to thank our team members for their commitment to excellence.”
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
